Dallas Mavericks point forward Luka Doncic may become an All-Star in his rookie NBA season.

Doncic is currently the second-leading vote getter in the Western Conference according to the latest fan returns. With 2.220.077 votes, the 19-year-old Slovenian player trails only Lebron James (2.779.812) in the Western Conference.

Voting and fan preference set aside, Doncic’s performances have already earned the respect of his peers and coaches around the NBA. Some think that his game is of All-Star caliber, including Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

“I think he’s already an All-Star. I don’t know how the vote is going to shake out be but he looks like an All-Star player to me,” Kerr said on Doncic ahead of the game between the Warriors and Mavericks. Sunday (13/1).

“The guy doesn’t look like a rookie. I didn’t know much about him and I never saw him play before playing against Dallas for the first time and watching him on TV before that. He’s confident beyond where you would expect someone in his shoes to be. Coming from a different country and being 19 years old. He’s a brilliant player,” Kerr also mentioned.
