Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki will serve as an honorary coach in the Rising Stars game of the All-Star Weekend, the NBA announced.
Nowitzki will be a member of the coaching staff of the “World Team” that includes international players. The German superstar will coach several European players such as Sacramento Kings‘ Bogdan Bogdanovic, Cleveland Cavaliers‘ Cedi Osman, Brooklyn Nets‘ Rodions Kurucs and of course, his Dallas Mavericks teammate Luka Doncic.
Doncic already kindly requested his senior teammate to… be kind on him. However, Dirk told him that he has to earn his keep on the team.
