After seeing his game-winning attempt vs the New York Knicks getting blocked by Mario Hezonja and the L.A. Lakers losing to the team with the worst record in the NBA, Lebron James gave the appropriate credit to the Croatian forward.

“Great D by Mario,” James said per Spectrum SportsNet. Lebron mentioned that he was “trying to get a good look,” to find the shot that could allow the Lakers to leave Madison Square Garden with a win. But then… Mario happened.

With five seconds remaining for the match, James launched an attack with Hezonja guarding him. The Croatian forward stayed attached to Lebron and when the latter attempted the jumper, he threw the block. Plus a staredown.

It was overall a strong return to action for Hezonja who also scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help the Knicks get the win.
