The 2019 NBA draft will be held in Brooklyn on June 20th. Many NBA hopefuls have already completed the paperwork necessary to make themselves available to the league’s organizations with Ignas Brazdeikis among them. The Lithuanian-Canadian forward was named Big Ten freshman of the Year and hopes to be drafted in a couple of months.

Yovel Zoosman and Deividas Sirvydis have already taken a similar path, both coming from European clubs, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv and Rytas Vilnius, respectively. Brazdeikis declared after one NCAA campaign with Michigan. All early entrants are allowed to withdraw their name from draft consideration up to the deadline set in advance.

Brazdeikis is no exception, but desires to be picked in the draft after turning heads during the 2018-19 NCAA season. The Kaunas native averaged 14.8 points and 5.4 rebounds with Michigan lasting until the Elite Eight of the 2019 NCAA Tournament. He made 39.2% of his shots beyond the arc.
