The Milwaukee Bucks are in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2001.

The Milwaukee Bucks became the first team through to the 2019 NBA Playoffs Semifinals with the 116-91 home win over the Boston Celtics. They dropped Game 1, but responded with four straight victories and advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals in five games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo poured 20 points in Game 5, also tallied eight boards, eight dimes, two steals and two blocks. Fellow European Ersan Ilyasova and Nikola Mirotic scored 10 points each with the latter grabbing 11 rebounds as well. Pau Gasol (left ankle) remained out.

The Bucks are now waiting for their next opponent, which will be the Toronto Raptors or the Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics are out and in their final 2018-19 NBA contest Europeans Daniel Theis and Guerschon Yabusele had four and two points, respectively.
