There’s a deal in place between Shane Larkin and Anadolu Efes, which can only be broken by an NBA offer

Shane Larkin made Final Four history and he will try to win the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague next year again as a member of Anadolu Efes unless the NBA comes calling. According to Eurohoops sources, Larkin and the Turkish club have a deal for a 1+1 contract, which will be more than lucrative for the explosive guard and make him one of the best-paid players ever in Europe.

On the other hand, however, this deal will include an opt-out clause for the NBA, which will also be in effect this summer. The opt-out clause is expected to expire after the first two weeks of July and if Larkin gets an offer from the NBA until then, he will be able to return to the States.

Ιt has to be noted that during the season there was NBA interest for Larkin, but ultimately Efes decide to not release him. He accepted to finish the season in Europe and he made it to the EuroLeague Final, registering the best performance in a EuroLeague Final Four during the last 25 years.

In Anadolu Efes, there’s restrained optimism that Larkin will stay at least for one more season in Europe, however, that’s something that it remains to be seen. The deal between Larkin and Efes was first reported by SDNA.
