The Denver Nuggets proved right to say the least when they drafted Nikola Jokic. He was only the 41st pick of the 2014 NBA draft, but the Serb big has certainly surpassed expectations since. No secrets up to this point, but his agent Misko Raznatovic revealed a relatively unknown series of events that led the Joker to the NBA in his interview with Nedeljnik.

“A deal with Barcelona was in place” the 52-year-old Serbian said and added: “An unfortunate event happened in his last game before signing the contract, which proved to be a blessing in disguise. He played before Barcelona representatives and the signing of the contract was postponed. Arturas Karnisovas then joined the Denver Nuggets and made it easier for him to move from Mega to the NBA.”

Raznatovic also pointed out that he doesn’t believe NBA would be an open option for his player if he wasn’t with Mega at the time explaining his take on the matter in detail. He also discussed Jokic’s NBA career, the Serbian National Team and many more topics in his interview.
