Toronto Raptors center Marc Gasol gave quite the response when asked if he got any advice on the NBA Finals from his older brother Pau. A veteran of three title series and two-time champion with the L.A. Lakers.
“He was playing Boston at that time and then he played Orlando and the third year he played Boston again. What could I ask him, like how to guard Rasheed Wallace,” Gasol said per Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun. Pau faced Wallace in the 2010 NBA Finals between the Lakers and the Boston Celtics.
Marc Gasol is competing in the NBA Finals for the first time in his career this season. In the three games of the series vs. the Golden State Warriors, the Spanish center has averaged 14.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 29.0 minutes. He had 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the Game 3 Raptors win in Oracle Arena. Toronto is up 2-1.
