Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant will make his 2019 NBA Finals debut in Game 5 Monday (10/6) according to multiple reports (first by NBC Sports’ Monte Poole).

Durant will return to action after being absent since Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets. The MVP of the 2017 and the 2018 league Finals had been sidelined with a calf injury.

The Warriors are down 1-3 in the series following the wins of Raptors in Games 3 and 4 in Oracle Arena. The only team that has ever recovered from a 1-3 deficit in the NBA Finals were the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 series against Golden State.
