On Monday, the Raptors went on a six-hour championship parade all over Toronto. Despite the unfortunate events of gunshots fired, the spirits of the participants remained high. Ibaka, who grew up in Congo, recalled his dream of participating in a parade one day.

“Oh man, I was living my dream,” Ibaka said, per Erik Koreen of The Athletic. “When I was young I used to watch this on TV, and I was like, ‘Man, I would love to be there one day.’ And look here, I am now here. I’m just so thankful and I’m living my dream.”

Marc Gasol was at an equally high-spirited mood, and was even spotted chugging a bottle of wine during the parade.

Coach Sergio Scariolo was also impressed by the fans rally and the number of people who came down to celebrate in the Canadian city. “The sidewalks cannot be seen, they say there are about two million people, it’s a historic day for Toronto.  I have been to many [celebrations] and the love and passion of the people are always new and incredible”.
