The Sacramento Kings have offered a maximum contract extension to guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, the player told The Sacramento Bee’s Jason Anderson.

Bogdanovic will be paid more than $50 million through four years if he accepts the Kings‘ offer. The Serbian player, who can become a restricted free agent next summer upon expiration of his current contract with Sacramento, is biding his time before signing any deal.

“I would like to stay. Everyone knows that I love Sacramento. Everyone loves to be here. It’s a great group of guys. I’m happy right now and I was happy all these years, but I don’t want to rush anything,” Bogdanovic said to The Sacramento Bee.

“Maybe we will sign tomorrow. Maybe we sign in a month. Who knows? We will see,” Bogdanovic added.

Bogdanovic averaged 14.1 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds in 27.8 minutes over 72 games in the 2018-2019 season. He was then named in the All-Tournament Team in the FIBA World Cup after finishing the competition with 22.9 points (55.6% field goal shooting), 4.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 28.0 minutes over eight games.
