Two highly regarded players of Serbian descent will stay in college basketball for at least one more season after withdrawing from the 2026 NBA Draft.

Andrej Stojaković announced through social media that he is returning to Illinois, where he emerged as one of the team’s leaders during an impressive March Madness run.

The talented wing, son of former NBA champion Peja Stojaković, explained that unfinished business and belief in the program played a major role in his decision.

The upcoming summer could also be important for Stojaković off the court, as he is eligible to represent both Serbia and Greece internationally, and his final decision regarding his national team future could arrive in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Milan Momčilović also pulled out of the draft following a breakout year at Iowa State. Widely considered one of the best shooting forwards in the NCAA, Momčilović entered the transfer portal and quickly became one of the hottest names available on the market.

As reported by John Rothstein, St. John’s remains strongly interested in the Wisconsin-born forward even after adding elite prospect Tounde Yessoufou, as the Red Storm continue to reshape their roster.

Other major suitors for the All-Big 12 forward of Serbian descent are Kentucky, Louisville, and Arizona. Momčilović averaged 16.9 points and 3.1 assists for the Cyclones last season while shooting 50.6% from the floor and an astounding 48.7% from three.
