Serbian Basketball Federation President Predrag Danilovic confirmed at a press conference held Tuesday that Serbia will be a candidate for one of the qualifiers for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
“I spoke with the [Olympic Committee] President and we are running for the host of one of the Olympic qualifying tournaments. We have absolute organizational and financial support from the state and I am grateful for that”, said Danilovic as adapted by sportskacentrala.com.
Apart from Serbia, also Greece and Lithuania have shown their intention to host one of the four qualifying tournaments on the way to Tokyo’s 2020 Olympics.
