At this point before Game 5 it’s easy to get in the bandwagon and support the Spurs. However, almost three weeks ago, while in Greece in order to visit his brother Eric who played for Panionios BC, Blazers rookie C.J.McCollum plain and simple clarified that San Antonio was the favorite for the title.

Here’s what he had to say to Eurohoops during his stay in Athens about the NBA finals and the way the Spurs are playing this season, when we met him in the gym of Panionios, in the suburb of Nea Smirni.

– Do you think that Portland could have gone even deeper in the play offs this season, considering the fact that a team like the Spurs beat you?

“Of course we wanted to beat the Spurs, but on the same time they are a great team. They have proven in the past that they can go all the way and they are capable of doing it again this season”.

– Would you consider that the series against the Spurs was a lesson that can help you next season get at least to the West finals?

“It was definitely a lesson. They demonstrated how to play the game, bot being selfish, moving the ball well, something that’s their nature. I hope we can do the same and get better next season”.

– Do you think that the Spurs are the favorite to win the title?

“Yes, clearly they are the team which can go all the way. The series against Miami is something that many people expect, so it will be interesting to see what will happen”.

-Do you have any personal preference for the team which will the title?

“No this is not in my mind. We are not there, so I am just watching as fan”.
