He was relatively quiet in Game 4, but Malcolm Delaney, the season MVP in German BBL, was the most important player of champions Bayern Munich and also got the finals MVP title. His name is also making headlines around Europe with Euroleague powerhouse Olympiacos interested on signing him, however his priority still is to get a chance in the NBA, as he said to Eurohoops just after the game.
“The first think I want is to go home and rest after a long season”, he said and explained his goals: “I will try to get a contract in the States. Like any American player, I want to play in the NBA”. After all Delaney has already won three championship the last three season in three different European countries, France, Ukraine and now Germany. Specially after his performance in Euroleague, the NBA took notice and specially Houston Rockets are following him closely.
That’s why once more he repeated that there’s no deal yet with any European team: “As I have said before, I haven’t signed with anyone and the reports about me getting a deal with any team are false”.
