Pooh Jeter finished his third season in the Chinese league and is ready to come back in Europe. As he reveals on Eurohoops he has an offer from a Italian team and plans to play in the Euroleague next season.
Since September of 2012 the 31-year old American guard with Ukranian passport plays in the Chinese league and a little after the end of the season with Shandong Lions he’s back to the market for the European teams.
“I would like to help a team win a championship. The last two summers I’ve shown with Ukraine that I can lead a team and make things happen” says the Pooh Jeter who has already European experience as a player of Menorca, Unicaja and Joventut in Spain, Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel and Kyiv in Ukraine. “The top teams in the ACB know me very well and I can help one of those teams win a title with my leadership and experience”.
Do you have any offer now?
“I have nice offer from a Italian team that I’m thinking about. I’m just happy that I have a European passport which will allow me to help a team compete for a title”.
Are you ready to play now?
“The teams in Europe think I don’t want to come back because I’m playing in China which is not true”.
Do you want to sign a long-term contract?
“No, I want to sign now for 2-3 months because I want to be an option for Euroleague teams next season”.
