The 2020-2021 Israeli basketball championship will begin on October 17, the league announced. The management of the Israeli Winner League took the decision to postpone the launch of the new season for two weeks in order to give the participating teams more organizing time.
Winner League was one of the three major European basketball championships that resumed amid the coronavirus crisis and the only one that is still being played. The other two were the Spanish ACB League and the German easycreditBBL that were both completed earlier this summer.
The quarterfinals stage of the league will be completed Thursday (23/7) and the Final is expected to take place on July 28.
