Maccabi Tel Aviv saw its star forward Omri Casspi returning to action after a one-year absence in the 81 – 75 Israeli Winner League win over Hapoel Haifa. The Israeli veteran recovered from a knee surgery he underwent last January to fix some knee issues.

Casspi played 11 minutes off the bench and scored 10 points (2-3 2-pointers, 6-8 free throws). John DiBartolomeo also made his season debut for Maccabi, scoring six points on 3-6 shots.

Oz Blayzer led Maccabi’s efforts overall with 21 points and five rebounds as the “Yellows” improved their league record to 3-0. Keenan Evans had 17 points and Amhit Simon 16 for Haifa.
