A couple of dominating performances for Zalgiris this week in the LKL

Zalgiris went up to 27-3 with two LKL wins this week. On Thursday, the team coached by Martin Schiller made short work of Dzukija, 92-68, and went on to defeat Siauliai, 105-86, on Saturday.

French center Joffrey Lauvergne grabbed a game-high 14 points and Lukas Lekavicius combined nine points with nine assists against Dzukija. Nigel Hayes scored 18, Karolis Lukosiunas 17, and captain Paulius Jankunas 14 points for the sixth straight win in the Lithuanian league.

On Saturday, Rytas improved its second-place tally to 23-6 by taking down Juventus, 88-82, on the road. Arnas Butkevicius banked a team-high 16 points, among five double-digit efforts.

Earlier in the week, Elvar Mar Frioriksson dropped 33 points behind 9/9 field goals, including 5/5 triples, and also dished out 12 assists leading Siauliai past Pieno Zvaigzdes, 103-90.
