Hapoel Holon defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv 88 – 82 for Round 5 of the Israeli Winner League regular season. This was the first loss for the Yellows after seven straight wins in all competitions, five in EuroLeague and two in Israel.
Chris Johnson was the top contributor for Holon with 14 points and nine rebounds. Steven Gray scored 14 as well while Joe Ragland had 13 points. Their team is now 4-1.
Derrick Williams (18 points) and Jalen Reynolds (15 points, six rebounds) stood out from Maccabi that dropped to 3-2. The reigning champions were without star guard Scottie Wilbekin.
