The Scottie Wilbekin-James Nunnally duo made things happen for Maccabi’s offense.

Scottie Wilbekin and James Nunnally scored 23 points apiece as Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Ironi Ness Ziona in a postponed game for Round 14 of the Israeli Winner League. This win lifted Maccabi to 12-7 and the third place in the standings while Ness Ziona dropped 9-10 and the eighth spot.

Derrick Williams dropped nine out of his 15 points in the last minute and after Ness Ziona cut a 90 – 82 deficit to 90 – 87. The American forward hit two straight 3-pointers to push back the visiting side and then drained another one from beyond the arc to seal the win of his team.

Wilbekin also dished out nine assists while Nunnally grabbed six rebounds to lead Maccabi’s efforts beyond scoring. Ante Zizic contributed 13 points plus five rebounds to Maccabi’s win.

Diante Garrett (22 points, five rebounds) and Tim Soares (18 points, five rebounds) stood out from Ness Ziona.
