Former EuroLeague player Janis Timma has signed with the Puertorican team of Grises de Humacao until the end of the season in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional.

This is the 11th team of his career, and he last played in the G-League with the Lakeland Magic, averaging 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. He also participated in the 2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.

Luca Banchi, head coach of the Latvian national team, talked about him in an interview with Eurohoops. “Janis finally managed to combine his plans with those of the national team. He showed up with a great attitude. He wanted to play. We shared the joy of the trip to Greece where he was the absolute protagonist. Individually, I think he deserved a moment like this and put him back in Latvian basketball where he belongs. The public gave him a warm welcome in Riga and he responded very well”, he said on Janis Timma.

In his last parenthesis with Latvia in the 2023 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers, the 30-year-old averaged 14 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in two victories against Greece and Great Britain.
