Success on the road for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv shifting back to the win column

Exchanging blows for the better part of three quarters, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv got some separation in the fourth quarter to beat Ironi Taxon Kiryat Ata, 100-88, Sunday.

Yiftach Ziv recorded a team-high 16 points. Jake Cohen added 15 points, a new personal best for the 2022-23 season. Wade Baldwin IV paired his 11 points with eight assists, while Roman Rorkin and Darrun Hilliard threw in 11 more points apiece. Making the case for the hosts, Chavaughn Lewis connected 12/18 field goals for a game-high 29 points but eventually fell short of enjoying the win.

Suleiman Braimoh returned to Israel’s Winner League after recently debuting in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with the Yellows. The experienced center, recent addition to the squad coached by Oded Kattash, posted four points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the Regular Season Round 15 contest. Besides Lorenzo Brown (ankle) and Alex Poythress (hand) moved to the injury list, Jarell Martin and Bonzie Colson did not dress. Austin Hollins remained on the sidelines as well.
