After being eliminated in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season, not getting to the Play-Ins or the Playoffs, Zalgiris Kaunas are on a roll domestically.
Reaching their 27th consecutive victory in the Lithuanian league, they beat BC Wolves Vilnius 89-75 at home to strengthen their position at the top of the standings at 32-2. They haven’t lost since October 2024, and their last defeat happened to be against Wolves, indeed.
Ignas Brazdeikis led the way for Zalgiris with 14 points, followed by Sylvain Francisco’s performance of 13 points and 7 assists. Alen Smailagic and Bryant Dunson combined for 22 points at the board.
For Alessandro Magro’s team, which are fifth tied with Lietkabelis at a 18-16 record, Anthony Cowan was the highest scorer with a 16-point losing effort.
