The recent attack by Iran on Israel inevitably affected the schedule of the Winner League Finals

By Eurohoops team / info@eurohoops.net

The Israeli Winner League announced that Game 3 of the Finals between Hapoel Jerusalem and Maccabi Tel Aviv won’t take place on Sunday (15/6) as it was originally scheduled, following Iran’s retaliatory missile attack on major cities in Israel.

The League says that the organization is working toward finding the best available date for the Finals to continue and that the goal is for the series to be completed on basketball courts.

Earlier on Saturday (14/6), Hapoel Jerusalem released a statement, requesting that the Finals will be played as planned.

The series is tied 1-1.

Per the Winner League:

In light of the updated guidelines of the Home Front Command, Game 3 of the Finals between Maccabi “Playtika” Tel Aviv and Hapoel “Bank Yahav” Jerusalem will not take place on its original date.

The Winner Basket League is working with the authorized parties in an effort to find an alternative date in the near future, while examining all possible scenarios, in order to allow the game to take place safely and as soon as possible.

We emphasize that the championship will be decided, as it should be – in only one place: on the court.

The Winner Basket League strengthens the hands of the citizens of the State of Israel, IDF soldiers, women and men of the security forces, the civilian home front and everyone who works for the security of the state and its residents
