Hapoel Tel Aviv’s comfortable home win against Maccabi Rishon (91-76) puts them at 20-3 in the domestic league.
Once eliminated from the Euroleague after falling to Real Madrid in the playoffs, all of Hapoel Tel Aviv’s main players played except for Elijah Bryant and Antonio Blakeney (injury). Yam Madar led the win with 20 points. Johnathan Motley added 17.
The first half was very easy (56-36) for Hapoel Tel Aviv, who, in the last round, only played with five players against Bnei Herzliya and finished with only one on the court due to the Israeli players’ strike.
Maccabi Rishon tried to react after the break, but Itoudis’ team had everything under control. The Euroleague team secured another home victory (91-76) to continue chasing (20-3) Maccabi Tel Aviv, who remain at the top as sole leader (23-1).
