Facing elimination after the surprising loss in Game 1, Hapoel Tel Aviv bounced back in convincing fashion by beating Maccabi Rishon LeZion 95-69 on the road and tying the quarterfinal series at 1-1.
Yam Madar and Tai Odiase helped the visitors build an early advantage, while Oz Blayzer provided a big spark off the bench. Vasilije Micic and Jonathan Motley took control in the second half as Hapoel cruised to a comfortable victory.
Motley finished with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Micic added 18 points, six assists, and four steals. Blayzer scored 16, and Madar contributed 13 points.
For the hosts, Amin Stevens led the way with 19 points.
The decisive Game 3 will be played on Thursday, with Hapoel Jerusalem already waiting in the semifinals.
