Lietkabelis routed Vytautas 91 – 76 for Week 28 of the Lithuanian League, behind Vaydas Cepukatis 16 points plus 7 rebounds and Darjus Lavrinovic’s 14 points plus 9 rebounds.
Following the 103 points they notched in an exhibition game against the youth squad of Chinese team Guangdong Southern Tigers, LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball combined in just eight points in their team’s loss.
After his 72-point output vs. the Southern Tigers, LiAngelo scored 3 points (0/3 two-pointers, 1/4 3-pointers, 0/2 from the line), grabbed 3 rebounds and dished out 1 assists in the 21 minutes he spent on the floor. LaMelo played for 4:18 minutes and finished with 5 points (1/1 two-pointer, 1/2 3-pointers) plus 2 assists.
Lietkabelis improved to 18 – 10 and climbed to the fourth spot while Vytautas dropped to a 5 – 23 record and even deeper at the bottom in the standings.
