Limited action due to postponed games in the French league still generates plenty of upsets

JDA Dijon and Metropolitans 92 both upped their Jeep Elite Pro A tally to 4-0, but Le Mans went the opposite direction suffering its first loss.

SIG Strasbourg – ESSM Le Portel 83-94

MiKyle McIntosh powered the third straight victory with 24 points. Benoit Mangin threw in 19 points and seven assists on the road.

The hosts failed to retain the early lead despite Yannis Morin producing 22 points.

Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez – Boulazac 89-60

EBPLO blew out the game early and went on for its second win in three 2020-21 matches. Shannon Evans banked a game-high 26 points.

Beninese Mouphtaou Yarou punched in 17 points for the losing side.

BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque – JDA Dijon 67-81

A fourth win in as many domestic affairs early in the 2020-21 season for La Jeanne. Chase Simon with 18 points and Hans Vanwijn with 16 carried the offensive load in the latest “W”.

Cameron Wells banked 14 for the hosts.

Le Mans – Chalons-Reims 84-87

Young Lithuanian point guard Arnas Velicka posted a 25-point, 10-assist double-double getting his team off the mark. Travis Leslie went for 23 points.

Previously unscratched MSB fell was outscored 22-6 in the third quarter but nearly completed an improbable comeback. Valentin Bigote and Scott Bamforth shared a team-high 18 points.

Metropolitans 92 – Limoges CSP 82-76

A solid outing for Israeli Tomer Ginat earned him a game-high 23 points. Anthony Brown registered 14 points assisting to the 4-0 start.

The visitors fell to 3-2 despite DeMarcus Nelson posting 18 points. Nicolas Lang followed with 15 points and Jerry Boutsiele with a 14-point, 10-rebound double-double.
