LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne ruled out Guerschon Yabusele for the next three weeks due to a sprained thumb.

Yabusele, 25, was injured in last Saturday’s win against Orleans. He was among his team’s top performers in recent Jeep Elite Pro A games. Considering the few remaining fixtures in the French league, it is likely he will not be back this season.

The former player of the Boston Celtics, 16th pick of the 2016 NBA draft, averaged 14.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per appearance at the domestic level. He previously completed his 2020-21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign with 11.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per match.

He has been named to the France squad for the Olympic Games.

ASVEL at 22-6 is currently ranked third in the French league.
