A fourth-quarter collapse for AS Monaco makes a major impact on the Jeep Elite Pro A standings

ASVEL improved to 23-6 after taking down Cholet, 82-64, on Wednesday and on Thursday enjoyed climbing to the top of the French league after Monaco lost to Roanne, 84-78, and dropped to 22-6.

La Roca Team blew a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter as the home side hunting to avoid relegation with an 18-0 run turned the tables and created a distance of seven points. Sylvain Francisco had 18 points and Boubacar Toure logged 16 points. Rob Gray finished with 19 points for the losing side.

Elsewhere in the Jeep Elite Pro A, Serbian guard Danilo Andjusic made seven three-pointers and ended up with 29 points as the top performer for Bourg in the key win, 89-84, over Dijon. The prevailing side improved to 20-11 forcing the guests down to 23-7 and third place.

Le Mans boosted its playoffs hopes with an 88-83 victory against Strasbourg on the road. Vitto Brown poured 24 points and Williams Narace followed with 22 points. The winners jumped into a tie with Limoges at the eighth spot at 16-14, while the hosts fell to 19-10.
