After the initial scare of a boycott, the situation has been resolved and the French League postseason tipped off with a convincing 83-59 win by JDA Dijon over Orleans Loiret.

This year’s quarterfinals are played in a one-game elimination format with the top four seeds having the home-court advantage. Hence, the No.1 seed Dijon secured a spot in the semifinals where their opponent will be AS Monaco or JL Bourg.

Axel Julien was the main force behind the hosts’ charge with 26 points on 5-8 from deep while Jacques Aliunge scored 11 (plus eight rebounds). David Holston logged nine points and six assists while Alexandre Chassang had nine points and nine boards.

For Orleans, which struggled offensively, shooting 21-55 from the field, Jamel Morris scored 19 followed by Giovan Oniangue and Landing Sane with ten points each.
