Limited to 24 points in the last three outings with AS Monaco, Mike James went back to his usual status at La Roca Team.

James, 32, poured a game-high 22 points in the home win, 83-77, versus Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez Sunday.

Besides connecting 8/17 field goals, including three three-pointers, he drew up four assists and three rebounds as well. A close win for a 13-3 record sitting on top of the standings of the French league.

Guided by Sasa Obradovic, Monaco was fortunate to see Michael Stockton mishandle two late key free throws. John Stockton’s son had eight points but missing the free throws allowed the home side at Salle Gaston Medecin to regain control in the final seconds, after previously dropping a couple of seemingly comfortable leads.

Progressing toward returning to action, Jordan Loyd (shoulder) was cleared to resume practice. But the 29-year-old guard was sidelined for the latest domestic league fixture along with reportedly disgruntled Adrien Moerman.

Matching his career-high of 23 points, Polish center Dominik Olejniczak lifted BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque to the win, 79-73, versus ESSM Le Portel elsewhere in Regular Season Round 16. Also, Tres Tinkle stood out with 26 points for Le Mans in the 100-85 victory against ADA Blois.
