Times can’t get better for ASVEL, as the EuroLeague side found the umpteenth tough loss of the 2023-24 tumultuous season, getting eliminated in the Quarter-Finals of the Leaders Cup by Nanterre 92.

The green side pulled the upset 82-78 victory, especially thanks to Ibrahima Fall Faye, who had 24 points and 6 rebounds for his team, followed by Desi Rodriguez’s 14 points and 7 rebounds. Justin Bibbins scored 17 points.

For ASVEL, 14 points from Joffrey Lauvergne weren’t enough. Nando De Colo tried his best to control the tempo for the French powerhouse and ended with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists. However, Nanterre still managed to advance, producing a 15-0 scoring run to start the second half.

Monaco convincing against Le Mans

While Nanterre 92 eliminated the defending champions of the French Leaders Cup LDLC ASVEL, AS Monaco didn’t have many problems against Le Mans, securing a victory in the quarterfinals with a final score of 94-81. In the semifinals, they will face Paris.

Alpha Diallo led the winning side with 15 points, while Mike James and Jordan Loyd added 11 points each. Mam Jaiteh was on the verge of a double-double with 10 points and eight boards, while Jaron Blossomgame and Petr Cornelie also contributed with 10 points each.

For Le Mans, Dragan Apic and D’Shawn Schwartz each had 20 points, Matt Lewis added 14, while Abdoulaye N’Doye had 10 points with nine boards, and Devante Jones also scored 10 points.
