Monaco and Paris have both secured their spots in the EuroLeague Playoffs, but before their upcoming clashes against Barcelona and Fenerbahce, they had domestic league duties to fulfill.
Monaco edged Dijon on the road, 78–77, in the dying seconds of their Betclic Elite Round 26 matchup.
Mam Jaiteh was the hero for Vasilis Spanoulis’ side, scoring the game-winning basket after grabbing an offensive rebound just before the buzzer. He finished with 15 points and six rebounds.
Alpha Diallo, who recently signed a three-year contract extension, led Monaco in scoring with 18 points, while Mike James added 12 points and five assists. Terry Tarpey contributed 10 points.
On the other side, Gregor Hrovat had 17 points and five assists, while Christian Sengfelder added 11 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
It was also a close battle in Paris, where Tiago Splitter’s team prevailed at home against Chalon/Saône with a final score of 100–97.
Nadir Hifi and T.J. Shorts led the way with 18 points apiece, while Collin Malcolm and Yakuba Ouattara followed with 13 each. Tyson Ward added 12, and Sebastian Herrera chipped in with 10.
Jeremiah Hill had an outstanding performance for the visitors, scoring 31 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Brandon Paul added 27 points, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.
