The superstar did not play in his team’s win over Nanterre 92, which came after overcoming an 18–2 run to start the final quarter

Things are far from being fine in Monaco, but at least the team keeps winning its games.

After snapping a five-game losing streak in the EuroLeague by defeating Saski Baskonia, the team coached by Vassilis Spanoulis added another victory in the French league by beating Nanterre 76–81.

The big news of the game was that it was played without Mike James. Following his Twitter outburst denouncing the situation he is experiencing over unpaid wages, he did not suit up for Sunday’s closing game of the round.

Mathis Dossou-Yovo and Elie Okobo were the game’s top scorers with 17 points each.

Despite finishing the third quarter ahead 56–68, Monaco saw everything unravel in the fourth and final period.

In the blink of an eye, the home team surged ahead 74–70, further raising alarm bells for the Monegasque side. In the end, however, the visitors’ superior quality prevailed and the victory was secured in convincing fashion.

In the other game of the day, Paris Basketball defeated Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball 90–103, with 23 points from Eddie Ekiyor for the home team and 19 from Nadir Hifi for the visitors.
