After a perfect week in the EuroLeague, with wins against ASVEL and Barça, Monaco faced a new challenge in the French league
The day ended with both good and bad news: Nikola Mirotic returned to action scoring 13 points, but Monaco suffered a heavy 104–81 defeat against JL Bourg
Assemian Moulare, with 19 points, was the game’s top scorer, leading the home team’s offense, which controlled the game from start to finish
Elie Okobo continued his excellent form with 19 points and 7 assists, but he could not prevent the heavy loss ahead of the final round of the EuroLeague regular season
Despite starting the game with a 31–27 score, the match had a clear dominant side. As the minutes passed, the home team’s lead only grew, reaching 99–75 with just a few minutes remaining, at which point the game was effectively decided
The other EuroLeague team playing today in France had better luck: ASVEL defeated Saint-Quentin with a clear 86–70 win, allowing them to keep climbing the standings
