Boulazac is in negotiations with Patrick Beverley over a potential deal, according to French journalist Gabriel Pantel-Jouve.
The 38-year-old guard is currently a free agent after spending last season with PAOK. He averaged 7.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists across eight Greek League regular-season appearances.
Beverley also posted 9.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in nine FIBA Europe Cup outings, helping PAOK reach the Finals.
The former NBA All-Defensive Team selection has played 666 regular-season games in the NBA, representing the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks.
If an agreement is reached, Beverley would follow in the footsteps of Tony Snell, who spent last season with Boulazac before joining Cholet this summer.
