Limoges CSP started the ProA League Playoffs with a 79-75 home win after repeling JDA Dijon Basket’s fourth-quarter comeback effort.

Despite trailing by a 16-point margin (64-48) with less than ten minutes remaining, the guests didn’t give up and trailed just by one (75-74) with 15 seconds remaining. Both teams decided to foul and Limoges’ players were more effective, securing the game in the end.

William Howard led the winning team with 18 in addition to Danny Gibson’s 12 points. On the other side, Valentin Bigote scored game-high 23 points but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.

Earlier the same day, AS Monaco Basket got the job done in the free throw line and won 99-97 at home in Game 1 against Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez despite an amazing performance by Elie Okobo.

The 20-year-old  French point guard scored game-high 44 points while shooting 8/11 form the three-point territory. He got help from Alain Koffi who added 22 points but it was still not enough. For the victors, Paul Lacombe led the effort with 22 in addition to Amara Sy’s 16 points.
