In Game 1 of the LNB French League semifinals, Monaco defeated Limoges 88-71 and has a 1-0 lead.

Since the first half, the hosts had an eight-point lead (44-36) as Christopher Evans was leading the way. Even though Limoges a couple of times made the contest a one-possession game, in the third period,  Monaco answered right back and regained control, going up by double-digits (65-55).

In the fourth quarter, the home team even led by 22 points (81-59), as they controlled the tempo of the game, and did not allow the opponents to take easy shots (Limoges – 18/38 2FG). Monaco was also very efficient from inside the paint and attacked the lane with force (27/39 2FG).

For the winners, Evans finished with 17 points, while Paul Lacombe added 16. Samardo Samuels shined for the losing side with 17 points (6/7 FG).
