Monaco got the victory in an overtime thriller.

Monaco defeated Dijon 82 – 77 in overtime in Game 1 of the French Jeep Elite League semifinals. Dijon had made a turnaround from an 11-point halftime (40 – 29 ) deficit but didn’t capitalize that comeback into a win.

With the score 77 – 77 and 50 seconds remaining in the extra period, Monaco’s top scorer Yakuba Ouattara (19 points, eight rebounds) hit a 3-pointer. Dijon’s Jeremy Leloup failed to respond and on the other end, Dee Bost all but secured his team’s win with 2/2 from the line.

Lazeric Jones was named MVP of the game after finishing with 11 points and nine assists. Elmedin Kiikanovic added 16 points and six rebounds.

David Holston had 19 points and seven assists for Dijon. Axel Julien also scored 19.
