Paul Lacombe and Yakuba Ouattara pushed Monaco to a 2-0 lead over Dijon in the French League semifinals

Paul Lacombe and Yakuba Ouattara combined for 45 points as they led Monaco to an 84-75 home win against Dijon and a 2-0 lead in the French League semifinals.

Ouattara scored game-high 23 points on 3-6 shooting from deep while Lacombe followed with 22 points and six rebounds.

For Dijon, Gavin Ware scored 20 points in addition to Axel Julien’s 15 and Obi Emegano’s 13 points.

Monaco went ahead 20-10 after ten minutes and was up 38-31 at halftime. They improved the lead to 67-54 in front of the final ten minutes and kept their distance until the very end giving Dijon no chance for a comeback.

Game 3 of the best-of-five series will be played on June 6 with Dijon having the home crowd advantage.
