Bahcesehir won its second consecutive match in the Day 2 opener

Day 2 in the Turkish BSL League began with a scoring duel between Darussafaka Tekfen and Bahcesehir while Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahce both secured wins.

Anadolu Efes – Turk Telekom 83-78

Efes logged another win in the Turkish League, this time against a tough Turk Telekom, led by Vasilije Micic with 18 and Tibor Pleiss with 17 points. James Anderson scored 16 and Adrien Moerman 15 points.

On the other side, Can Korkmaz scored 21 in addition to Sam Dekker’s 15 and Samet Geyik’s 11 points.

Besiktas – Fenerbahce 74-83

Lorenzo Brown was leading the winning charge with 16 points while Melih Mahmutoglu scored 14 and Jarrell Eddie 13 points.

For Besiktas, Alperen Sengun scored 21 followed by Sehmus Hazer’s 18 and Sadik Kabaca’s 11 points.

Darussafaka Tekfen – Bahcesehir 91 – 95

Erick Green scored 24 points as Bahcesehir captured its second straight win in the Turkish League by beating Darussafaka on the road. The hosts saw Dogus Ozdemiroglu having a pretty hot evening (34 points) but were simply outscored by their opponents.

Alex Perez added 14 points plus eight assists for Bahcesehir while Ridvan Oncel dropped 14 points as well. Andrew Andrews scored 16 for Dacka.

Tofas Bursa – Buyukcekmece 94 – 85 

Sean Kilpatrick scored (23 points), got rebounds (six) and sent assists (six) to his teammates to push Tofas Bursa to its first victory of the new season in Turkey. Semaj Christon contributed 17 points and five assists while Berkan Durmaz dropped 14 points.

The trio of Gabe Olaseni (19 points, six rebounds), Osiris Eldridge (16 points, six rebounds) and Devin Oliver (11 points, nine rebounds) stood out from the losing squad.

Gaziantep – Pinar Karsiyaka 59-55

Gaziantep came out on top in the low-scoring clash against Pinar Karsiyka, led by Jaiteh Mouhammadou with 15 points and 13 rebounds followed by Trevis Simpson who also scored 15. Ismail Ulusoy helped with 11 points.

For the away team, James Birsen logged a double-double as well with 16 points and 11 boards while Seketoure Henry helped with 12 points.

Fethiye Belediyespor – Bursaspor 75-89

Oguz Savas put on a big double-double performance for the winning side with 21 points and 14 rebounds as did Perry Jones with 13 and ten. Birkan Batuk scored 17.

On the other side, Elgin Cook logged 17 points and ten boards followed by Erick Neal and Branden Frazier who also scored 17 each.

OGM Ormanspor – Galatasaray 82-90

Daryl Macon and Brock Motum led the way for Galatasaray with 18 points each while Jonathan Williams logged ten points and ten boards.

For Ormanspor, Dwight Hardy banked 21 in addition to Stanton Kidd’s 19 and Jamelle Hagins’ 13 points.

Petkim Spor – Afyon Belediyespor 78-81

Christopher Wright was leading the scoring effort with 24 points for the victors followed by Francisco Cruz with 18 and Akif Guven with 12 points.

For the opposing side, Kendrick Ray scored 26 while Stephen Zack logged 20 points and ten boards.
