An eight-game schedule stretching through the weekend continues the BSL season

Unscratched Fenerbahce Beko and Anadolu Efes lead the pack heading into the fifth round of the Turkish league.

Bahcesehir Koleji – HDI Sigorta Afyon Belediye 70-76

Tanner Leissner and J.P. Macura shared a team-high 17 points for the visitors snapping a three-game losing streak. Egemen Guven’s contribution resulted in a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Erick Green hitting four threes and finishing with 24 points overall was not enough for the team coached by Zafer Aktas.

Petkim Spor – Galatasaray Doga Sigorta 83-64

Major win for the team based in Izmir and coached by Kestutis Kemzura. Kendrick Ray went for 16 points, while Ian Hummer punched in 13 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.

A comeback bid in the third quarter falling well short for the Yellow-Reds in spite of Alex Hamilton pairing 17 points with eight assists.

Darussafaka – Bursaspor 78-75

Andrew Andrews stepped up big time for Darussafaka’s victory with 28 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, while veteran Sinan Guler had 14 points and five rebounds.

Can Maxim Mutaf had 21 points for Bursaspor, as Malik Newman and Xavier Munford added 16 and 13 points respectively.

Tofas  – Fenerbahce 101 – 104

Fenerbahce struggled but remains undefeated six rounds into the new season to end this week on a good note. Nando De Colo sealed the deal for Igor Kokoskov’s squad with 28 points and seven assists, Jan Vesely added 16 points and Melih Mahmutoglu tapped 12 points.

DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell paced Tofas with a game-high of 35 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists while Semaj Christon nearly caused an upset for Fener with 21 points and five assists.

Lokman Hekim Fethiye Belediye Spor – Besiktas 87-83

Fethiye Belediyespor managed to overcome Besiktas and it was all orchestrated by Erick Neal who was so very close to a triple-double. He logged 27 points on 7-8 from deep, including the dagger three, while also dishing 12 assists and grabbing nine rebounds.

Elgin Cook added 17 and Abdul-Malik Abu 14 points. For Besiktas, James Blackmon notched 32 points in addition to Alperen Sengun’s 17.

Empera Halii Gaziantep Basketbol – OGM Ormanspor 87-76

Elmedin Kikanovic scored 21 points and grabbed seven boards for the winning side while Stanton Kidd had 15 points.

However, Cevher Ozer stole the spotlight with a triple-double of 14 points, 11 assists and ten rebounds.

For Ormanspor, Rashard Kelly scored 19 points followed by Can Ugur Ogut’s 16 and Jaiteh Mouhammadou’s 14 points. Muhammadou also grabbed 16 rebounds.

Turk Telekom – Pinar Karsiyaka 81 – 61 

Sam Dekker scored 19 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists as Turk Telekom grabbed its fifth straight win. Kyle Wiltjer added 16 points and Micheal Eric 13 points plus eight boards.

Tony Taylor (18 points, eight rebounds) and Metecan Birsen (12 points) scored in double figures for Karsiyaka.

Anadolu Efes – Buyukcekmece 98 – 79 

Efes carried the momentum from the EuroLeague road win over Olympiacos to the Turkish League and routed Buyukcekmece at home. Five players of the hosts scored in double figures with Adrien Moerman dropping 20 points, Bugrahan Tuncer notching 16 points and six assists and Tibor Pleiss having 16 points.

Karvel Anderson had 21 points and Devin Oliver added 15 points for the losing side.
