Fenerbahce got the job done against Karsiyaka which played with its youth team roster in protest to the Turkish Federation’s refusal to postpone Sunday’s game

Fenerbahce moved on with its sixth straight victory in the Turkish BSL, after prevailing over Karsiyaka with a 117-59 win on Sunday.

Tarik Biberovic paced Igor Kokoskov’s squad with a new career-best performance with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and Berkay Candan also added a new career-high with 25 points, 17 of which came in just 9 minutes in the first half.

Jarell Eddie tapped 13 points, while Kenan Sipahi and Danilo Barthel had 11 points apiece. Ahmet Duverioglu dominated the fight of the boards and grabbed 17 for Fener, to go along with 8 points.

Karsiyaka head coach Ufuk Sarica and the main team sat out of the game, in protest to the Turkish Basketball Federation which didn’t postpone their Sunday meeting upon the club’s request, ahead of their crucial game in the Basketball Champions League against Brindisi on Tuesday. Assistant coach Recep Sen took duties for the game and Arca Tuluoglu led all scorers of the team with 22 points, 8 assists.

Tibor Pleiss posted 22 points, Adrien Moerman had 19 as Anadolu Efes outlasted Bursaspor 95-76 on the road to complete Round 27’s action.  Efes reached its fourth straight win to remain on top of the BSL standings with a 26-1 record.

Lamar Peters paced Bursaspor with 20 points and Xavier Munford tapped 16 points.
