After the stellar performance in the deciding Game 5 of EuroLeague quarterfinals, Krunoslav Simon brought over the same momentum to the Turkish League clash against Fenerbahce BEKO and handed Anadolu Efes an 88-84 win.

Simon banked in game-high 21 points on 9-11 shooting including 3-4 from deep while Adrien Moerman had 15 points and 12 rebounds. Ahmet Tuncer scored 14.

For Fenerbahce, Marko Guduric logged 20 points in addition to Berkay Candan’s 15 and Tarik Biberobic’s 13 points. Jan Vesely had ten.

Despite the early 21-10 and 41-29 leads, Fenerbahce couldn’t hold off the opposing squad’s comeback for long. Efes came back sparked by Simon’s performance and thanks to a 10-0 tun in the fourth quarter (84-74), grabbed the win. Moerman, Vasilije Micic, and Shane Larkin scored the crucial points.

Efes stayed at the top with a near-perfect record of 28 wins and one loss while Fenerbahce is right behind with a more modest 22-8 record. Pinar Karsiyaka is chasing after them with 21-8.
