Raymar Morgan had 21 points and 10 rebounds as Pinar Karsiyaka beat Fenerbahce Beko 80 – 71 on the road in Game 2 of the Turkish BSL League semifinals to tie the best-of-five series 1-1. The team from Izmir led for most of the game and put on some excellent defense in the fourth period to force the hosts at 12 points and get the win.

Metecan Birsen added 19 points plus seven rebounds and Amath M’Baye had 17 points for Karsiyaka, both contributing key baskets down the stretch. Birsen scored five straight points to put his team up 65 – 71 with 2:55 to play and M’Baye made the bucket for the 69 – 75 and then drained the 3-point dagger that handed his team a 71 – 78 lead with 28 seconds remaining.

Danilo Barthel (15 points), Jan Vesely (14 points, five rebounds), Marko Guduric (12 points) and youngster Tarik Biberovic (10 points) scored in double figures from Fener. Their team was without Nando De Colo and DyShawn Pierre.

Karsiyaka is hosting the next two games.
