Bursaspor became the first team to beat Anadolu Efes in the 2022-23 Turkish BSL League regular season. Anthony Clemmons scored 24 points as the Bursa side downed the reigning EuroLeague champions 88 – 86 to go 6-0 overall this season after four rounds on a domestic level and two in EuroCup.

Efes had erased a nine-point deficit to approach by one with two minutes remaining but didn’t manage to fully complete the comeback in the final moments. Will Clyburn scored 28 points while Rodrigue Beaubois dropped 20 points for the visiting side that was without Vasilije Micic (10 points) down the stretch after the Serbian superstar was fouled out.

Onuralp Bitim added 21 points plus eight rebounds for Bursaspor. Derek Needham contributed 16 points plus five assists. Their undefeated team will next face Prometey for EuroCup Wednesday (26/10).

Efes will host Fenerbahce Beko Friday (28/10) in an All-Turkish EuroLeague clash. The latter crushed Manisa to get its eighth consecutive victory over all competitions.
