Shane Larkin flirted with the triple-double, finishing with 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists as Anadolu Efes beat Galatasaray 80 – 70 on the road in a classic battle of the Turkish BSL League.
Rodrigue Beaubois added 18 points and Bryant Dunston contributed 13 points, including some key plays down the stretch that helped Efes secure the win. Dylan Ennis’ 22 points weren’t enough for Galatasaray that ultimately needed many more contributors to match up the strength of the two-time reigning EuroLeague champions.
Galatasaray led 46 – 39 in the third period but Efes reacted with an 11 -0 run only for the hosts to tie the score at 57, entering the fourth period. Clyburn and Larkin put Efes up in the score 63 – 69 with six minutes remaining and, while the Cimbom were unable to connect to the basket, increased that advantage to 63 – 74.
Efes preserved a safe lead during the last lap of the match to register a win that improves them to 11-5. Galatasaray dropped to 7-9.
