Forced to miss some games while busy for the EuroLeague Playoffs against Panathinaikos, aiming to be the second Turkish team to qualify for the Final Four in Abu Dhabi after Fenerbahce, Anadolu Efes are back on track domestically.
Luca Banchi’s team beat Karsiyaka 95-77 on the road with Jordan Nwora putting up 31 points, recovering the game from Round 27 in Turkiye.
The Nigerian forward finished by shooting 7/12 from two-point range and 5/10 from deep; Rolands Smits followed him with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds.
On the losing side, Karsiyaka couldn’t take the upset victory despite 35 points combined between Edon Maxhuni and Michael Smith.
Anadolu Efes are currently standing in 3rd position in the Turkish standings with a 20-7 record behind Fenerbahce (26-3) and Besiktas (23-5), and need to recover one more game against the black-and-white side which participated in the EuroCup this season.
